1. Gyékényes

Gyékényes, the location of the swimming part is situated 40 kms from Nagyatád. The cars can be parked without any charge in a grassy field directly next to the lakeshore starting line. In the morning of the competition the car queue is pretty much continuous between Nagyatás and Gyékényes so overtaking is NOT advised. The estimated duration of the trip to Gyékényes is around 45 minutes.

The parking area will be closed between 8:25 and 9:25, and than between 9:45 - 10:30 a.m. as more than 90% of the competitors will jump on their bicycles and leave this location during this period.

In 2011 the Police will secure the above location and will support the parking procedure - the parking area will be closed and opened by them. Those who will fail to park their cars by the rules (e.g. leaving them by the roadside instead of using the designated parking lots) will be warned/fined. Thus we kindly ask you to comply with the rules in order not to disturb the cyclists.

Those who will leave the lake after 9:25 a.m. might meet with the competitors on the road between Gyékényes and Csurgó. Pls overtake the cyclists with maximum caution and make your way towards Nagyatád when you reach Csurgó, so that you'll leave the cycling route being designated for the competitors. Escorting the competitors during cycling is forbidden.
